We recently made some changes to the Building applications & forms. You are now able to submit the application online and pay for the permit in a few quick & easy steps. The two payment options are by check or credit card. Please note that for online credit card payments, a 2.80% processing fee will be added to the total permit fee. American Express is not accepted online at this time. However, you can call our office at 920-339-4053 to pay by American Express. Also, if paying by check, your application will not be processed until payment is received by our office.
In order to install signs in the City of De Pere, a sign contractor must be licensed with the City. A sign license is an annual license and the cost is $130. If you are not licensed or are unsure whether your license is current, please contact the Building Inspection Department at 920-339-4053.
Note: The property owner must apply for a Change of Use/Occupancy permit for the new business.

Non-compliance may result in application denial and a new application, with a new review fee, may be required.

NOTE: Please answer the following questions about each individual sign separately (do not cluster sign types). If done correctly, one Sign Permit Application form may be used for up to 6 sign permits. Please be sure to reference each sign as "SIGN 1", "SIGN 2", "SIGN 3", "SIGN 4", "SIGN 5" and "SIGN 6" respectively on this application and on all attached supporting documents.

A. A scaled & dimensioned site plan showing: i. All buildings on subject property. ii.The location, size, and types of existing signs on the subject property. B. Clear and legible scale drawings with: i. Description and nominal dimensions of the proposed sign. ii. The construction, size, dimensions, and kind of materials to be used in such structure. C. A time-stamped photo of the proposed sign location, with the photo no more than one year old. D. A color rendering showing before and after images of the sign at the proposed location.
