Annual Sign License Application

We recently made some changes to our applications & forms. You are now able to submit the application online and pay in a few quick & easy steps. The two payment options are by check or credit card. Please note that for online credit card payments, a 2.80% processing fee will be added to the total permit fee. Also, if paying by check, your application will not be processed until payment is received by our office.

In order to install signs in the City of De Pere, a sign contractor must be licensed with the City. A sign license is an annual license and the cost is $130. The license period is May 1, 2024 through April 30, 2025.

All persons engaged in the business of installing or maintaining signs which involves, in whole or in part, the erection, alteration, relocation, maintenance of a sign or other sign work in, over or immediately adjacent to a public right-of-way, or public property that is used or encroached upon by the sign contractor, shall agree to hold harmless and indemnify the city, its officers, agents and employees from any and all claims of negligence resulting from the erection, alteration, relocation, maintenance of this sign or any other sign work insofar as this chapter has not specifically directed the placement of the sign.
